Meet the Team
Tammy Baruth, PT
Tammy is a 1996 graduate from Northern Illinois University’s Physical Therapy program. She has been helping patients, in McHenry County, to reach their maximum potential for over 21 years. She has spent 12 of those years as facility manager and a clinical instructor, mentoring and growing the team. Over the years, Tammy has focused her attention on the outpatient orthopedic population, including sport injuries, pre-and post-op neck and lower back, hips, knees, ankles and feet, shoulder and chronic pain patients. Tammy likes to take a whole body approach and develops an individualized treatment plan for each patient. Patients are tested like family with the 1:1 care they deserve. When Tammy is not helping patients get back to living their BEST life, you will find her out hiking with her dog, Dotty, or spending time with friends and family.
Yvonne Gagliano, PT , DPT, CEEAA
Evie received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2000 from Washington University in St. Louis and graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2003. With her knowledge and experience of treating individuals at all levels of care, she moved to Arizona and with a business partner started Arizona OrthoSports and InMotion Phyical Therapy and Wellness. Her desire to provide quality care driven by outcomes motivated her to receive an advanced specialization through the American Physical Therapy Association and in 2015 became a Certified Exercise Expert for the Aging Adult (CEEAA). She has a vision for developing exercise programs to combat the risks associated with the diseases of aging. This interest has incited her to develop rehabilitation protocols and pathways to treat multiple disease processes. In 2019, she became certified in LSVT BIG a specialized treatment approach for Parkinson’s Disease emphasizing the amplitude of movement. She is excited to begin this new chapter at Thrive Ability Center bringing expert care through specialized treatment approaches.
Thomas M. Mitchell, D.C., CCSP
Dr. Mitchell is a Natural Healthcare Practitioner, Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, Chiropractic Physician, a Functional Rehabilitative Specialist, and is certified in Applied Kinesiology. Dr. Mitchell’s practice includes Functional Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, as well as treatment of a variety of biomechanical, pain, sports related issues. Combining kinesiology skills with chiropractic expertise, Dr. Mitchell has a reputation of frequently being able to produce effective results where other practitioners have achieved only partial results. His watchwords, well-earned and thoroughly employed, have become “RESULTS-DRIVEN HEALTHCARE.”
